Description

The Fennec Fox (Vulpes zerda, Fenek) from ZOO Dvůr Králové, the Czech Republic. This small one was sleeping when I came and my coming woke him... he looked so scared! :XD:

DID YOU KNOW THAT... Fennec foxes have thick fur on the soles of their feet, which insulate against the hot sand of the desert? This extra fur on the soles of their feet also afford them excellent traction in the loose sand.

For *woxys

This is a really cute photo. I like how the fox is looking right at you as well, it adds to the impact of your photo
There are a few things that I think would have made the photo a bit better. Were you able to get down any lower for the photo down to eye level? If not then that that can't be helped, it's nothing major. The other thing is that you have cut of foxies bum. Would have been nicer to have the whole body in the photo on this occasion or to zoom in closer for just the cute little face The last thing is just the DOF, the background is a little distracting but again depending on conditions may not have been helped.
Other than those things it's great that the fox is nice and focused and the exposure is great as well, no overexposed white bits and an even light, must have been a good day for it
