The Arctic Fox baby (Alopex lagopus, Liška polární, Pesec, Status: Least Concern) from ZOO Brno, the Czech Republic You can find this photo also on my Facebook page: [link]
DID YOU KNOW THAT...polar foxes are known to shed their fur at least twice a year? This helps them camouflage themselves with the ever-changing environment.
Ok, This is the first critique I have ever done, If there is anything I am not clear on, just message me! Now, First off this is such a cute little... Thing. What is it? I love how close you are to it. The clearness and sharpness is Spectacular. I think that the little pose thing it is doing just pulls the photo together.
With this NOT being your first photograph, there are some things I noticed. The background is VERY blurry. Was this on purpose? What is it laying in front of? Concrete? Is this a wild animal? Is it your pet? (because that would be awesome!!!)
~~~~ Sorry if I sounded harsh, but this is how i critique myself. But an amazing photo to say the least!
The play of the colours is so gentle. The mixture of grey and green is easily put into the background with the brightness f the fur, so soft, so white, so FLUFFY! It makes me wish I could have been there and admired this beauty from up close. I am a great lover of animals and I think this has truly captured the essence of nature and its innocence.
I just love how you made the subject in focus and the rest of the photo blurred. It makes this adorable fox stand out even more! The quality is excellent and the moment captured excellently! I can even imagine it yawning as I watch this.
1250 faves foxes rule! You should know the currently kept teenage boy - while this baby was kind of friendly, that younster has that "bored and annoyed" teenage look but his brother is sweet foxie with a fresh face - and is friendly
